Choice works better than shame

Shame can turn “I did something I regret” into “I am the problem.” Stop Dependencies deliberately separates the person from the behaviour.

Identity is bigger than one habit

You can dislike, reduce or stop a behaviour without reducing yourself to a label.

Choice still includes responsibility

Removing shame does not remove consequences. It makes room for a response that is more useful than punishment.

After a difficult check-in

Write down what happened, what you noticed and what the next interval will be. Add professional support when the pattern is dangerous or hard to control.

Use the tool: choose a realistic next interval, return and answer honestly. A NO does not erase previous choices. The timer is not a substitute for medical treatment.
