Feedback & accountability

Complaints should have a route, a record and an answer.

A concern about conduct, privacy, safety, communication or a paid service should be possible to raise without affecting a person's right to respectful treatment.

How to raise a concern

For now, submit a concise complaint or concern through the contact form and begin the message with Complaint. Do not send unnecessary medical records. For a commissioned programme, use the complaint route stated in the service agreement where one is provided.

What happens next

The concern should be acknowledged, logged, reviewed by someone able to address it, and answered with the outcome or next step. Serious safety, safeguarding, professional-conduct or data-protection issues should be escalated through the appropriate route rather than treated as ordinary customer-service complaints.

External rights

This process does not remove any right to contact an appropriate regulator, professional body, commissioner, the Data Protection Commission, An Garda Síochána or emergency services where relevant.
