You can contact us before they are ready.
If you are worried about someone, you can speak with us about the situation and possible next steps. The first conversation is about understanding what is happening — not forcing a person into a programme.
What we can discuss
Patterns of alcohol or drug use, gambling, nicotine, compulsive pornography use, repeated relapse, loss of routine, work or education, family strain, and the practical question of how to approach the person without turning every conversation into another fight.
What we will not promise
We cannot guarantee another person's decision or recovery. Participation must be workable and appropriate for the individual. Where there is immediate danger, serious withdrawal risk, acute mental-health crisis or violence, emergency or specialist services may be the correct first step.
