Alcohol support in Dublin

Alcohol can become woven into routine, sleep, work, relationships and the shape of an entire week. Our approach starts by making the next decision smaller, then building enough structure around the person for different choices to become repeatable.

How the programme works

The free Stop Dependencies check-in begins with a short interval: choose what you want to interrupt, choose the next period of time, return and check in. In Dublin, we extend that same logic with direct conversation, lived-experience programme leadership, psychological input where appropriate, nutrition, movement, routine and practical progression.

Something worth returning to

Stopping a behaviour is only part of the work. We look for existing anchors — people, memories, work, interests, plans — and where those are missing, we work with the person to begin creating new ones.

Where the work is meant to lead

The direction is greater stability and independence: healthier routine, relationships, education or training, employment or a realistic route to self-employment where appropriate. The programme is not designed to make someone permanently dependent on the programme.

Important: Alcohol withdrawal can be medically dangerous. Anyone at risk of withdrawal complications needs appropriate medical assessment; our programme does not replace medically indicated detoxification.
